Ecomlabs was launched in 2017 by co-founders Jeffrey Talajic and Eric Azran - both part the early success of one of Canada's startup success stories, Frank & Oak. Since leaving, they have gone on to work with some of the most recognizable names in Canadian ecommerce.
An innovative ecommerce thinker, Jeffrey lives and breathes traffic generation, brand awareness, and onsite conversion. He believes that implementing the right mix between performance and brand marketing are key to the success of any venture.
After completing his MBA from the John Molson School of Business, he joined the Digital Strategy Team at L’Oréal, launching ecommerce and CRM programs for the international beauty powerhouse. In 2012, he was first marketing hire and Brand Manager at Frank and Oak, where he helped build a world-class growth team. Most recently, he acted as VP Sales and Marketing at retailer Live Out There, introducing a data-driven customer acquisition approach and building a new team to support it.
Now, with the launch of Ecomlabs, he’s shifting his focus to helping brands and retailers maximize their online growth either via their own direct-to-consumer ecommerce websites or by focusing on marketplaces like Amazon, Walmart, Esty and more.
Having climbed the ranks and excelled in nearly every ecommerce-related role imaginable, Eric has a unique understanding of all aspects of ecommerce.
As a founding member of the team that launched Frank and Oak in 2012, he bridged the gap between content marketing teams and technology teams as Web Product Manager, constantly improving and optimizing the online experience while respecting and developing the brand’s DNA.
After leaving the company, he co-founded his first agency, Azran & Chank, which launched online storefronts for over 25 clients and quickly became a go-to source for Shopify and ecommerce launch expertise in Montreal.
Eric’s ability to harness the power of technology for businesses is bar none, and brings his invaluable skill set to Ecomlabs.
